Q. What directory index pages can I use?
A. The directory index page is the first page viewed if no specific page is requested on your site.
For example, if someone visits your site URL: http://www.yourwebsite.com/ then the server will deliver what we call the "directory index"
The server will recognise any of the following files as a directory index:
index.html index.htm index.shtml index.php index.cgi default.htm default.html Plus index.asp and index.aspx for Windows.
